Ressources
Selected mineral powders are chosen according to client requirements and constraints. This raw materials represent up to 90% mass weight in the final product. Natural additives and water are mixed to mineral powders, allowing the obtention of a mineral plastic foam and guaranteeing cohesion and resistance.
Manufacturing process
IPSIIS manufacturing process is simple, robust and cost effective (low CAPEX). The absence of specific risks and pollutant fluxes favors its integration in an existing activity. IPSIIS proposal (local ressources, compactness and low investments) enhances a local economic development.
Plastic foam – IPSIIS foam W
IPSIIS foam W is a plastic wet foam (malleable): it can be poured into a cast, on an existing material or flocked.
Solid foam – IPSIIS foam R
IPSIIS solid foam is obtained after wet foam dehydration. The porosity of the material (higher than 90%) improves the thermal insulation and breathability. The material is non combustible.
Technical characteristics
The material presents the following technical characteristics:
- Thermal conductivity: 50-90 mW/m/K (@ 25ºC)
- High temperature resistance :
- 1050 – 1100°C (clay)
- 600 – 800°C (limestone)
- density : 150-300 kg/m3
- Compressive strength : 1-2 MPa
Environmental issues
Energy content (1 m3 IPSIIS foam) : 100 kWh.
Carbon content : < 10 kg CO2 eq.
These characteristics are very advantageous: they meet the society requirements and the use of new sources of energetic gains.
IPSIIS process is non capitalistic and allows upcycling of mineral waste and local production.
