Wet foam before dehydration
Plasticity and stability of IPSIIS foams enables an application on vertical surfaces and equipments before dehydration and natural curing.

A wide range of sizes and properties
Easily machinable materials
IPSIIS foam is an easily machinable material, allowing the realization of different shapes to suit the most ambitious insulation and fire protection projects. The picture below presents some of the latest realizations.
Ready for pipe insulation
IPSIIS presents the first production test of a pannel containing a pipe, specially designed for furnace insulation. The foam was produced using ouzzolane waste.
Step by step fabrication
Beyond compatibility with the insulating wool (mineral or vegetal), IPSIIS foams enable additive manufacturing. The picture below presents an insulating vegetal wool block whose three sides are continuously protected with mineral foam. The cutaway allows to appreciate the perfect structural continuity of the refractory protection after assembly.
Improvement of water resistance
A waterproof surface treatment of IPSIIS foam prevents water penetration during possible projections.
Aesthetic surfaces
The IPSIIS foams are compatible with a large number of products, such as fabrics and coats. For a more futuristic finish, films of different colors come to cover the surface of the material. You just have to make your choice!
Guaranteed compatibility
Beyond their mineral and non-flammable nature, IPSIIS foams have a high potential for interior design. The material properties allow in particular the production of composite materials by combining molten glass or ceramic. In the spirit of continuous innovation, IPSIIS tries to interact with the artists.
Many thanks to Soisy sur Ecole glass art center for their kind participation in our tests (photo below).
Bearing capacity
Lightness and compression resistance can be two qualities of a same material, IPSIIS improves the bearing capacity of its foams (more than 2 MPa), allowing future developments: insulation of concrete sills, vacuum insulation, in/outdoor light non-flammable panelling medium etc.
Safety and aesthetics
.An environmentally friendly process
The ability to produce the mineral foam at room temperature brings a double environmental and financial interest: cost-effective insulation with very low carbon footprint and sustainable prospective for emerging economies.
Some samples have already been produced by sun drying at low temperature.

Houses that can breathe
View of the microstructure of IPSIIS mineral foams. The open porosity allows the renewal of the air as well as acoustic insulation. The small size of the bubbles (less than 200 µm) minimizes heat transfer by convection. The porosity of the walls contributes to the insulation and resistance to thermal shock (Photos taken by SEM G. Almeida Perre, AgroParisTech). If needed, air and water barriers can be added for moisture management.
