IPSIIS develops a wide range of insulation products to meet these requirements. The process exploits a breakthrough innovation, with a simple goal : producing insulation foam, using the potential of agro-food industry by-products together with abundant natural resources or materials waste.
Main characteristics are :
The inorganic foam is very insulating (low thermal conductivity, with a λ today between 40 and 60 mW / mK). This characteristic is maintained in a very wide range of temperatures. The material is an effective thermal and acoustic insulation foam.
- Non-flammable and non-combustible
The matrix is mineral and non-combustible. It does not use flame retardants. IPSIIS foams do not release fumes or toxic gases when exposed to high temperature or open flame.
IPSIIS processes produce refractory materials adapted to security issues and industrial uses (from 800°C to over 1400 ° C).
- Open porosity
The open porosity allows the attenuation of noise factor and therefore contributes to the acoustic comfort. This porosity is easily adapted to the context of use, it also allows a respectful use of old buildings without disturbing the equilibrium moisture.
The mineral foam formulation is adapted to different contexts in order to obtain optimum density materials. Typically, density and resistance to compression are two antagonistic characteristics, and it is required to seek an optimum compromise given the constraints of the project. IPSIIS now produces foams with density varying between 100 and 400 kg / m3 and we are working to obtain foams with densities less than 80 kg / m3.
- Bearing capacity
Lightness and compression resistance can be two qualities of a same material, IPSIIS improves the bearing capacity of its foams (more than 2 MPa), allowing future developments: insulation of concrete sills, vacuum insulation, in/outdoor light non-flammable panelling medium etc.
- Sustainable, recyclable
IPSIIS mineral foams are healthy, sustainable, durable and eco-designed. The implementation process is reversible. At the end of life, IPSIIS mineral matrices can be reintegrated into the manufacturing process or returned to the natural environment. No residue is generated during the production steps.
